Evan and Kari : Models from my 2025 Photography retreat.
An answered prayer.
October 5th 2025.
We had plans to meet up and head to our location for sunrise (7am-yikes).
The weather forecasted 100% chance of rain for up to something like 15mm of rain.
Evan and Kari drove out to Falcon Beach Ranch from Winnipeg that morning. They arrived with a willing attitude and excitement on their faces. It was exactly what I needed with how much rain I thought we were about to have. This was our last photoshoot of the weekend. Every photoshoot up until this one had the best weather. I was praying for one last photoshoot without the rain we were expecting. A couple photographers didn't have anything to protect their gear from the rain. It started to drizzle as we waited on the other models to arrive and meet us before we headed out. Once they arrived we went down the road and parked at our location entrance. From there it was a 6ish minute walk into this location you see here. Still barely drizzling. It would drizzle and stop completely for the next hour as we worked through our 5 groups of models. When sessions were complete I breathed a sign of relief. We made it. We made it through the last shoot with very little rain. I sent the models and some photographers off to their cars as we waiting for one photographer (Aliya) and 2 models. It began raining a bit harder - Aliya really wanted to get some rainy shots in and the models were totally up for it. By the time they were done and walking up to us it rained a little harder. All of a sudden the heavens were opened and we were drenched. Dripping from head to toe. I know the Lord could have let it rain once we were back to our cars but I am glad he didn't wait any longer.
That rain literally covered me in His answer to my prayer.
God cares about our every little detail too.
Enjoy this photo from Aliya of me.... looking like I had a bucket of water poured over me.
