I don't care too much for Valentine's Day. I said what I said. I don't know what it is about it but it's just overrated to me. Maybe it's the over priced roses. The added fufu? I honestly don't know. So a valentines market.. hmm... Something that could celebrate other peoples love for each other, or for themselves. Yea... Ok I can get on board with that.

So, I participated in my first market as a Photo Booth vendor.

Hosted by the dream space, I knew the lighting was going to be great and I wouldn't need to bring extra camera gear. Just my 50mm (It almost never leaves my camera) and 3 bags of supplies for the backdrop, printer, props and more. I went into the space the night before to set up early and allow myself more time in the morning to do other last minuet things.

The morning of I had quite a bit that needed to be done unexpectedly.

As my first market experience I really enjoyed it. I realized I love shooting events more that are hosted by others and I just come to document it. Mixing market and photography was a lot for me. Running a booth, camera, editing program and printer felt like work. Anything that feels like work- in my opinion, needs to be tweaked. I'm working on ideas to make it smoother for future market plans. I was so thankful to be at a space I felt comfortable regardless and I couldn't say enough good things about Nancy and all her hard work for the Love and Luxe market. She always goes above and beyond. She did an incredible job once again.

I met a new friend, "little Keepr" Magnets, Iulia (pronounced 'you-lee-ah). We made such a quick connection-must be something about us short girls. We have some plans in the works for a future market together to set up together and offer same day magnets with your photos from the market! Sitting together and having a friend would be lovely. That being said I am so proud of myself. I sat at a booth alone yesterday. 2 years ago that would have never happened. I feel so mature lol.

I made more than one friend yesterday and saw news friends, captured some beautiful images and loveddd the vibe of them. I used a special vintage edit for these images and I hope you enjoy them <3
